So recap, Your first given equation is merely the polynomial in factored form. If you need to know your x intercepts, replace Y with 0, and solve.

Example: 0= (x+3)(x-5)
This means (x+3)=0, and (x-5)=0. Through some simple subtraction, one can easily discern that x= -3, and x=5. Those would both be your X-intercepts in the given graph.

Anyways, note the Complex Conjugate Theorem. Any complex zero, must have an opposite. Example: If one of my factors is (x+i) , I know immediately that another factor should be (x-i). Note: THIS ONLY WORKS FOR COMPLEX CONJUGATES.
