>300k starting
>any job I want

I understand the 300k is exaggerated, but is this meme true in any form?

I've always been under the impression math majors have little to no job prospects with just a math degree. My best friend started with a $75k salary with just a math BS but I feel like he just got really lucky.

Any math grads out there? Everyone seems to be like me, undergrad, on /sci/. I'm going into my senior year and starting to get worried I'll end up being a teacher.

How does a foreigner attend an American university for post-graduate studies?

I'm currently a third year math student in the UK looking to do a PhD in an American university, and I heard that there are some things to do before one can even apply, to get funding, preliminary exams, etc.

Can some non-American PhD anon chime in?

Also ITT: PhD general

Can you believe that there are actually retards out there that major in fucking BIOLOGY?

TOP KEK, what are you going to do with that knowledge? Start a zoo? As a math major with experience in computer science, I have skills that employers actually want to pay for; and I could wipe the floor with any bio-tard who thinks he can contribute something useful to science.

You aren't a scientist. You're a meme.
