>NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! YOU CAN’T JUST CHEAT ON MY HECKIN TEST!!!! Do you know how many hours I slaved over a hot test bank to make that helling test? Well, not even one, BUT THAT’S NOT THE POINT! You can’t just study from a bank of questions that might ACTUALLY BE ON THE DAMNING TEST! What do you mean I’m a university professor and I shouldn’t be using a test bank to make my mid-term? BTW I’ve analyzed the data and I’ve got it down to A FECKIN’ THIRD OF THE CLASS! THAT’S RIGHT THE JAWS OF DAMOCLES ARE CLOSING IN! COME FORWARD WITH SOME NAMES NOW AND I’LL PUT IN THE GOOD WORD FOR YOU WITH THE ADMINISTRATION. Don’t worry, even though you’ll be a cheater coward and narc at that point you’ll probably only receive academic probation..... nope, no dishonourable discharge if you just come forward now.... NO!!! THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING!!!! SHOW YOURSELVES!!!

I'd normally say cheating is wrong simply because it devalues the grades of student who earned it, but I guess in this case if it was so prolific I couldn't blame a student for participating for that very reason, they'd otherwise be competing on unequal footing.

200 people came forward and said they “cheated”. They probably just got 100% and didn’t want to get expelled over this. They were required to take an “ethics” course, whatever the fuck that is, then retake the exam.

I don’t really know in what world this could be considered cheating, though. They didn’t bring anything to the exam itself, they didn’t copy off anything. They studied a question bank that was publicly available. Professor isn’t to blame for anything, he just shouldn’t have gone on a massive tirade, and the students shouldn’t have been accused of anything

Either I really am brainlet, or he just graded it randomly. There were people that don't know how to program at all that get better grade than me. Ton of people failed this exam, and I passed at first try so at least that. The only reason there is no statistically correlated inverse relationship between how well you did in business ethics class and actual business success isn't that those successful at business cheated, it is that knowing the rules doesn't stop one from exploiting them.

Ethics is stupid. Those who are moral don't need ethics and those that aren't moral won't become moral just by taking a class. If it were that simple the law would work.

I went to community college before uni and the professors honestly tried really hard on their lectures. If a prof gets their lectures notes/slides from text book you can just read the book itself, copy notes off a classmate later, get the notes/slides from a pirated copy, attend the tutorial/dgd, read and take notes about the topic from a better source, ask prof/TA after hours etc etc.

Profs that actually do their own notes and materials and shit have classes that are more engaging there just copypastin' the textbook or really old notes because they aren't teaching the material, they are teaching themselves to you.
