What if I told you that he is really good at counting.

>believe in
Belief is for children and retards.

Because he appeals to the easily impressionable. I would guess most of his audience ar edgy freshman in a career related to math. While constructivism in math is a valid posture with actual proponents, he doesn't care about that. He cares about being able to say he's right and everyone else is wrong. His and his followers' sense of self-worth is entirely based on how many people disagree with them.

This guy is part of the 0.999...=1 crowd that ruin this board, and also doesnt believe in pi so he thinks circles aren't real. Hes really something else

i forget does wildberger actually have a background in math or is he just a quack, I keep forgetting, I remember some anon saying he has a PhD

Brain damaged conspiracy wackos. What else?

He is the discoverer of rational trigonometry after all.

>> No.9984613

Has he come up with a way to derive the computational upper bound of the universe purely ultrafinitistically?

I know a lot of his work is junk but is his history of math series any good? I watched a few videos and he doesn't make any outrageous claims, seems to describe the history fairly. At most, just adds a comment saying "some modern mathematicians disagree"

Better question is why should we take pure abstract infinitarian nonconstructive mathematicians seriously? They contribute absolutely nothing to society while taking a lot from it.

I remember a while back I thought of a really big hole in his rational number argument. But I forgot it, ill have to watch the videos again.
