How many people here took official IQ tests rather than online ones?
I kept getting 140-150 IQs online, and even more if I reattempt, but when I got officially tested, I scored ~120.

You’re slightly below normal. Nothing crazy low. Keep in mind ~half of all people are below 100. Online tests try to flatter everyone, so whenever IQ threads pop up 90%+ of people will be telling you they got a 120 or higher.

Only when I took the Raven's Matrices as a kid. Got in the 99.9 percentile. Supposedly, according to recent research, the average person with a bachelor's degree is at about 115.

Highest are chemical engineering (128), economics (129), materials engineering (129), philosophy (129), mathematical sciences (129), and physics (133). If you have a degree in one of these subjects from an above-average school with an above-average GPA for your measure then odds are you're at 130+.

I also took this because I was retarded with reading yet very good with word problems when they were spoken aloud, similarly I was retarded with math problems but very good when they were visual so they wanted to figure out what was wrong with me. Ended up getting a very high score on it, so they just deemed me weird and lazy.

Still struggled all through school and dropped out of college, then found out I had ADHD and treating that fixed pretty much all my retardation allowing me to unlock my FULL POTENTIAL.

I had to take one at the psychotherapist when I was a kid. Didn't really get any results, just saying that they'd need another test because there are special ones for IQs over 120. Didn't take it, because high IQ wasn't relevant to my symptoms at the time. Guess they just wanted to rule out that I'm clinically retarded.

I am 21 years olds, got officially tested last year and scored 98, which I expected. I will get my electrical engineering bachelor's degree next year, my grades are average but I work really really hard and was given a strong work ethic by my parents since I was a child which is what allows me to succeed in fields where the average IQ is 120-130.

I got tested 3 times during childhood, every time getting higher score and finally I got tested by Mensa and got 156(Cattell).
I never did online tests. They might influence your real score.

How many times did you try, anon? How much did you get on your first time?

You aren't supposed to take them a lot. Also, it is my understanding that a "real" test is more comprehensive than just the matrices.

No. Your score is your score. If you took medication you might score a bit higher, but really it doesn't matter that much.
