What do you think of this book?

Great for a 1000/2000-level class.
Anton & Rorres had some of the same applications sections (like the one that uses Kirchhoff's Laws), but they were shifted to the back of the book and few people seemed to cover them.
It manages not to skimp too much on the reasoning/theory behind the topics, too.

Is it just me or does the place on that cover make you think of the kind of place kid you never thought you'd end up wasting your life in

>> No.9969520

Well I just dropped like $200 on it so it had better be great

what do you mean? can you reword that, please?

Just a momentary projection, watching the rest of my life slip away doing meaningless maths. All the possible futures converging into a lonely old man, who lived a meaningless life. Maybe it's the new year blues getting to me. But maths kan be pretty dull.

Overpriced as fuck. Get a Dover book on matrix algebra.

all lives are meaningless and amount to absolutely nothing but if you can find a way to trick yourself into thinking that it's great, then who cares? instead of god it's the principle of induction and science itself

you're free to do anything, and math is a complex and interesting subject, so why not?

Worst cover for a newer book I've ever seen. Like that color of blue is that? Surprise suicide blue?

>> No.9969592

I don't want the book, but can I find just the section problems anywhere online?

McAfee says that link has spyware.

Use Tor then. It doesn't though, and McAfee is well known piece of junkware.

>people in this thread claiming to have bought this fucking book

I'm in linear algebra currently, the book is actually actually pretty good, but to not have downloaded it online is pretty retarded

>> No.9970992

after taking linear algebra, ill be ready to study tensors?
