Genetic engineering of humans(assuming moralfags get over their case of debilitating retardation) will be limited to things like reducing cancer risk, improving immune function, improving intelligence, and selecting eye/hair color. If you are asking when that is going to happen, we already have the ability to do some of it. Due to faggots screaming “eugenics” every time the topic is discussed I would say complete mastery of genetic engineering of humans will likely be limited more by policy than technology, but I give it 20 years or so.

'Eugenics' basically being a slur in the vein of 'fascism' is interesting because it is tantamount to not only allowing those with wealth and power to diverge and improve themselves anyway (thus setting the course for a slowly accumulating racial divide), but also the general populations of less hesitant countries. Biochemist here. There are plenty of changes I would make to the human body. For one, the mutation that causes scurvy (vitamin C deficiency) is just a point mutation. Fix that and you've got the working protein to make vitamic C and you don't need to suck on limes. More than that though, I'd change lifespan to be about 200-300 by lengthening telemeters, and delay puberty until the 60's. I'd make the whole species a bit smaller but boost the brain size a bit to boot. Maybe come out with different models. Some people all roided up for a fight and others to take after myself in intellectual pursuits. Long term I could see efforts to give humans gills and make them more adaptable to settling the water and implementing better DNA repair mechanisms to allow humans to do a bit better under the solar radiation from space. Given a few thousand years of scientific advancement and heavy genetic engineering, it wouldn't be unreasonable for future humans to look nothing like the humans of the current day.

For that matter, the wealthy can already use IVF techniques to give themselves somewhat better children; the embryos can be screened genetically to make sure the one you implant has no known genetic diseases. Kim & Kanye had this done for their most recent spawn. As more is figured out on how genes relate to intelligence & personality, those traits can be screened for as well. This also neatly avoids the being cucked issue, since the kids are 100% genetically from the parents.
