Is it true that there are no more jobs in engineering?

>> No.9963180

>>9963176
none. 0. millions of engineers wait everyday to hear of another, more experienced engineer dropping dead or retiring so they can take their spot. There is 0 need for engineers past current demand.
god i hate this board.

When companies are trumpeting the need for more STEM graduates because they have to offer mildly competitive wages to comp sci students.

Hate this country.

So you're saying I just have to be in the top 33% to get a job? Feels good

>> No.9963219

>>9963212
No, those are total job openings for all experience levels. Entry level jobs make about 10% of job listings. So more like top 5% or higher.

>engineers wait everyday to hear of another, more experienced engineer dropping dead or retiring so they can take their spot

whats particularly obnoxious about this is senior level engineers who are in their 50s will tell you about how when they were starting out getting jobs was easy and pay was amazing. They do not realize how much things have changed in the intervening 30 years.

Also unless you, like me, managed to accumulate 5+ years of experience and a licence then you're fucked because if you can even get a job theyll pay you like shit.
