Mfw I have a master's degree in electrical and electronic engineering but university has sucked all the enjoyment out of the subject, and now I never want a job on that topic.

Why couldn't I have done economics instead...

I think I'll study actuary. Probably my good foundations in maths could be useful there.

Actuarial work is a pretty bad career path if you want to do math.
You don't need anything more complicated than calc 1 and elementary probability to pass all your exams and you could teach a high schooler to do the actual work.
It's a good career for those who are dead inside and just want a desk job to quietly wait out their life in. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

Anon, at this point I don't care about that yet, I'm almost 30 yo, and a job as actuary could be helpful for earning a good ammount of money and save for my pension. As a teacher (the one and only job for me) my wage could be 5 usd, or 12.5 usd in the best case.
