Looking at this statement, i would have to say that in terms of achieving results, in one way or another, there is only the study of what works and what does not (including things such as things that work even though they don't work).

Thusly, since if one studies what works and what dosen't work it is a science. However, since classically the definitive characteristic of "magic" is that it has some sort of "caster". Thusly, one could call it's study a "Psyence".
