Are we really in a simulation? When you hear the logic it sounds like it's probably true. Is it?

What implications does the answer to that have for us?

That we will eventually be given access to a slightly filtered 'config screen style app'. Kind of like a sci-fi magic wand, but with logic-bound limitations so as to keep the 'random time propagation wave' to as minimal a measurement point as possible.

Ancestor simulations are bullshit. The amount of information you'd need to simulate our past to any reasonably accurate degree would be impossibly huge.

No. If we are, it really didn't change anything. Same with flat earth. Same with mathematics being fundamentally wrong. Same with whatever conspiracy you come up with. End of day it didn't change your life believing in it except make you spew crazy in every conversation. I don't mind a debate, but without evidence definitions and concrete logic it goes in circles and gets nowhere. Conspiracy theories don't have the evidence or logic (with inconsistencies)

Then consider it retrievable from prior data/information sources that choose to be conferrable at the required time.

No such information source could exist.

Why do you advertise the non-existence of a thing to a group you do not care about, or feel cares about you?

what?

Simulation theory is probably one of the dumbest, most useless and potentially most dangerous theory possible.

It's unfalsifiable so "real" reality might as well not exist because you could never know for certain that you were in it, even if you were, leading to a kind of self-induced psychosis.

If it became the dominant belief, it means you wouldn't be able to trust anything or anyone - if someone runs somebody over, they could just blame it on "a glitch in the simulation", prosecution would become extremely difficult.

All of science and any other field of study would be jeopardized because the simulation could change at any time, invalidating all previous study.
