For e.g.
If there's a giant penis gene that only gets passed down from father to son and if there's a daughter the gene isn't passed down.

Father to son - any gene on the Y chromosome because females cannot be carriers
Mother to daughter - none, but there are cases where being female increases prevalence due to two X chromosomes, and likewise where being male increases prevalence of recessive traits that reside on the X chromosome. All the rest of the chromosomes are gender nonspecific and don't matter

You can search a gene bank to find out which ones these are

there's imprinted genes but those are dependent on the sex of the parent, not the sex of the child

Since it's an entire chromosome worth of data (sex chromosome at that) doesnt that mean that sons are far more alike fathers than daughters alike mothers as phenotypically expressed?

Genders have nothing to do with chromosomes.

The Y chromosome doesn't have a lot of information on it. The genetic differences responsible for the differentiation of a zygote to a male or female are small and is part of the reason you can end up with >>9941268, but the rate is low enough that it isn't worth mentioning in a discussion about normal genetics, that should be saved for discussing genetic abnormalities. When things go as they should, that's how it works.

thats not that I was referring to you bigot

Fathers with trans women as offspring have daughters with XY chromosomes

Just because your dick gets chopped off, that doesn't make you genetically a woman.
