Matter is made up of multiple parts:
4% baryonic matter - that’s normal stuff ( , antimatter, cake...)
26% dark matter - we have no fucking clue what this is
The rest is dark energy - which we have no fucking idea what that is either
Basically, we have no clue

you guys suck.

>pls explain to me as you would to a retard kid.

a retard kid would not be asking about dark matter or string theory

here's an actually relevant answer

the matter you interact with on a daily basis (the ground, your computer, the air, stars, blah blah blah) is mostly made of three kinds of particles, or little dots, of electrons, neutrons, and protons. the electrons, neutrons, and protons push and pull eachother by shooting another kind of particle called a photon at eachother

Hard light. The frequency of EM becomes so great and dense that it tangles upon itself. Depending on how tangled it gets, it will take more EM to "vibrate it" back into coherency.

So "spacetime" is a medium now? How does "space" vibrate? I thought it was a hard vacuum, just full of little bits of hydrogen? How does "time" vibrate? Did you mean frequency of something else doing something? Yeah that's not "time".

>>9939486
We actually theorized it like 2500 years ago, but called it "atomism" instead. Then Incommensurability came along and destroyed that shit. For some reason though it came back and even the term "atom" was coined after we "discovered" these so called "indivisible particles".

No, that's also an abstraction. We don't know the nature of reality, the best we can do is to come up with a model that gives accurate predictions

>> No.9939691

>No, that's also an abstraction.
That's the joke. Time is not a thing. Space is not a thing, it's a pressure mediation of something else. A medium of no measure.

Take a piece of paper. Draw a curvy line on it. All the way across, from one edge to the other. Now take a pair of scissors and cut along the curvy line.

Now don't separate the two pieces of paper. Leave them where they are, as if they were still the original whole piece of paper. Okay. Now, the paper is space and the cut you just made is a discontinuity through space.

The cut is energy. Where there are lots and lots of cuts all clustered together is what we think of as being a particle, and of course we think of particles making up matter.

So there really is nothing "solid", all particles are just clusters of energies, all bunched up.
