Sounds like exam stress which I managed to more or less rid myself of after first semester.

My tactic was this : Study the material rigorously and practice, practice, practice before the exam. Outline the theory so that if I feel my answer may not be correct, I can demonstrate it is via proof with the theory or, in doing so, find the error and fix it.
