My ancestors were muslims since around 900 AD. I flipped the table and want to try alcohol.

>inb4 why you became irreligious
I've made the decision and don't want to talk about it. My question is, does the prohibition of alcohol on humans for around 1000 years affect the latest generation's ability to process alcohol? Will I be 'weaker' than others who regularly drink?

I don’t think so. You have populations like in east Asia or native North Americans that are missing an enzyme to correctly break down alcohol so they can die after a few beers. But other than that there is really no selective pressure from a Darwin standpoint that make one population handle alcohol better than others

Alcohol is shit. Do rather drugs.

Will I be able to drink without immediately going blind after a shot of vodka? There are no drinkers in my family.

>> No.9844173

Seems like a stupid thing to be asking.

Why don't you drink just a little and see how you feel yourself? It's not like you are going to sip a beer and faint, anon.

Well some families have bad genes for tolerance or addiction, and you can really only tell if you have family members with these problems. Honestly just go for it you won’t die. Just don’t over do it because getting super fucked up isn’t fun, and the point of drinking is to have fun

Of course I'll drink in moderation. I don't want to atom-bomb my liver.

Yeah. I guess. Always wanted to try liquid bread. Seems to go well with meals.

If there are 4 human generations each century, and 11 centuries passed since 900 AD, you have 2^44 ancestors which gives a number of 17,592,186,044,416 possible theoretical ancestors, most of which were the same one person being your ancestor multiple times and the other ones were goats

Not that anon, but it's very very very likely you have ancestors that drank alcohol b

I was just trying to say that you cannot know shit about your ancestors in 900 AD, they might as well have been dindus or abos and you would never know. I know many people who believe in bullshit like this, not realizing they don't have and never will have any documentation to support these claims. It only takes 3 or 4 generations to make you look like a said ethnicity.

Unless you have verified documentation with no breaks going back to that point they absolutely were not.

You could've just asked "does the prohibition of alcohol on humans for around 1000 years affect the latest generation's ability to process alcohol? Will muslims be 'weaker' than others who regularly drink?" to remove yourself from the equation. Learn how to ask questions more efficiently
