why is IUT not instantly universally understood? it's literally just math, all the pieces should fit together and it should be easily provable. It's just numbers, and numbers can't be misunderstood like words can. it's literally impossible to have differing perceptions of a math proof, because it's just math. It's just numbers.

Ignoring the "math is numbers" troll for a bit, the issue with math here is that when I say "consider a topological space with the T5 property", then you being smart and it being simple for you to learn new things will not prevent you from having to read stuff up, and when you do math and want to understand a definition and its implications and examples, you may find yourself looking up more and more definitions and definitions that said definitions depend on. That's why you can't take an advanced book and just read it.
And that's just for textbooks of old theories that have been read by many and rewritten with new books on those topic and seen by editors. If a reclusive man with novel ideas just writes down stuff corresponding to the pictures in his head, it's going to be tough to follow.

That being said... yes, math should boil down to proofs that are absolutely true and some day it might all be understood. But it won't be happening any time soon.
