I am working on orienting numbers topologically, which is a lot harder (or more abstract really, I am certain the answer i simple) than one would think. Blocks don't work. Linear thinking fails, trivially, but that is what we all start out with.

There is one confusion here. The edges and the the loop are distinct. These are numbers when taken together. The edges give the i solutions. The loop gives modX. Multiple i's aren't needed. they can be represented by X*i where X is a looped structure.

You can't add infinite series which is something i know is true but can't prove yet.
