Did an event which has no witnesses and leaves no trace really happen or not? I am genuinely interested in your opinions.

According to our understanding of time as the 4th dimension, every moment (Planck second?) Is a position in the time axis. If an event occured but left no trace, it still would exist on the time axis.

Since your sentence implies that it is known that the tree is fallen, then it exists as much as your sentence exists even if we don't see the tree, unless you are lying.

If there an event to which there are witnesses whom do not know if something has happened desu then it cannot said to have happened or not have happened. But it cannot be said that something has not not happened or happened if it isn't seen.

So the question can't really be answered without succuming to an infinite recurring loop. Infinite is the perfect answer for me every time.
