How mathematically proficient is the average Japanese person? I know they have a rep for high academic standards. I'm thinking about going there in the future and I want to make sure I'm better than them.

I'm planning to study in Japan after I graduate next year. I want to do some mathematics/economics/statistics kind of masters degree and I'm terrified my undergrad math won't be enough for the based japs math education. That said, I don't actually know how much better their mathematics education is. It is most certainly more advanced at the high school level at least than in the west, but I'm keen to know just how much more advanced.

Fundamentals of thermo.

Piss easy.

Now have them actually do the problems out of Moran.

Fucking hate thermo.

Brainlet here, but isn't this actually pretty basic? It looks like it's just the surrounding octahedron to me, in other words 1/2.

Their college sucks, however they have pretty interesting research departments.
Though I don't know if they're relevant in any particular field, besides Mochizuki, and the cure balding cure.

Skilled labor shortage in Japan = Universities need to be diploma mills

Japanese is a hard language and they’re very anti-foreigner so they can’t outsource a lot of their tech needs. My source is a native Japanese friend studying abroad in America
