Anyone here have research published? How old were you and what was the experience like? I’m 25 and I’m about to be co-author on an economics piece even though it have a degree in something else.

Yeah. I was first author on a photonics paper back when I was 23 during my undergrad. Co-author on a few others.

21. Obscure nonmeaningful research from an REU published in a garbage journal. Im pretty sure its what got me into a Top 15 grad school though

I have about 20 published papers. I published my first one when I was 32, and it wasn't a very good experience. Once I did get published though, that was better.

Its like nothing because no one is ever going to read your paper, just like the 31243804612340861 other papers that come out every month.
