Should old people be allowed to study STEM or is it fair to say they've had their shot and blew it and now they need to step back? For every oldfag that gets into a competitive STEM program, a young person straight out of high school is denied entrance and as we know, young people are the future and should take priority over washed up losers who couldn't make the cut when they had their chance.

Furthermore, IQ tests should be a mandatory part of applying into STEM programs in order to direct people who are not naturally inclined towards technical fields into more suitable industries such as hospitality and sanitation.

I started college at 21 and graduated with a BSCE. I wouldn't recommend trying it any later in life than I did. Beyond that age it would have been harder to be a part of the group.
