Do most universities have grades weighted so an A- is a 3.7? My friends at state schools can get a 89.5 and get full credit in a class, but I've had terms where my worst grade was a 92 and got a 3.94 term cumulative, and idk how common it is.

I got a 3.87, im actually fairly salty. Im in grad school and this was a required elective bioinformatics class, and the teacher expressively said no one would get an A. So i get an A- which is worth less than a 4. Now my grant applications won't be as good, just seems like the school shooting themselves in the foot... if i get a grant they dont have to fund me

I had a teacher who knowingly gave us 1 hour to do 3-hour long exams... he fucking told us he didn't expect anyone to finish more than 30% of each exam and that it was part of the difficulty to pick the easy, less time consuming questions that you were sure you could answer.

Some teachers are just retarded as fuck power trippers.
