I think the space program is very real, but false footage probably still exists.

Like if they couldn't record real footage for some reason in space (time constraint, camera not working, someone fucked it up, whatever) so they manufacture some on earth instead. If it happened at all if probably would've been in the early days when space race propaganda would've mattered a whole lot more.

These days it's so cheap and easy to capture video footage, there would be no reason to fake it because you can just take a little GoPro with you and record tons of shit easily, you don't -need- to fake anything
