Most of my professors are autistic and obsessed with whatever subject they teach, so I talk to them about that subject.

I don't unless it's professionally related and we both have ability and time to cooperate on something. I even stopped talking to my advisor more than once or twice a month, and I am pretty sure I have just passed my scientific zenith in terms of output because of it. If you want to see good work done, do it yourself and stop wasting your time. Admittedly experiments are a bit different with regards to equipment and cooperation, but I do theory.

I've had students ask about the music I play in lab, ask to be friends on xboxlive, and had many discussions about anime or television recommendations, which usually go something like this: "you should really start watching the Big Bang Theory, you TOTALLY remind me of X Character".
I've also dated two of my students long term, and have a child with one of them.

Not that exciting. I was a mature student, she was a new associate professor and two years older than me. She was newly married and having second thoughts, my relationship with my girlfriend was breaking down. I spent a lot of time at her office hours. Eventually we started texting and went for a drink, and things went from there.
