Experimenting on cloned humans.
Ethical or unethical?
Does it deserve same rights as regular human beings?

>> No.970055

Ethical if the cloned humans are under 1 year old and kept in isolation from normal human interaction.

Unethical otherwise.

>Experimenting on cloned humans.
>Ethical or unethical?
it is exactly as ethical as experimenting on non-cloned humans.
I.e it depends totally on the types of experimenting being done, and the individual's informed consent

>Does it deserve same rights as regular human beings?
Yes, dammit. Anyone that doesn't realizes this has serious problems.

Life = Life

You'd have to approach it from some sort of biblical perspective that clones don't have souls in order to diminish their value.

A clone has the same worth as a non-clone.

Totally ethical.

It shouldn't matter how one define morality.
My question is if you believe experiment A on a humans is unethical, would it be JUST AS MUCH unethical to perform it on a cloned human?

Also what if it was grey area? Would you say its unethical to do it to humans but somewhat ok to test it on cloned beings?

>> No.970141

If you make a clone with no brain there's no problem, but if the clone is no different from a regular human the ethics in hurting it are no different.

>> No.970148

I'm deeply religious. God has never said we can't clone people. I don't understand why so many other religious people insist there's something immoral about cloning.

A cloned human is still a human in every sense of the word. The ethics of experimenting on clones is exactly the same as those for experimenting on humans.

No, cloned animals usually have long-term defects that prove lethal. If something's structure does not support its own life, yet its model's structure does, the model and (something) are not the same thing.

Ok what if the experiment is ethical but it is difficult to conduct on normal humans?

If you used clones, the subjects will be near identical, environment and genetic wise.

They make a much better test subjects. Since a lot of studies are ruined/biased due to different genetics, living environment, and outside influence.

You'd get much more accurate reading on how chemical A affects human beings.

Although they'd be created for the sole purpose of the experiment.

>> No.970447

Well, if you clone it, it's a human. You cloned a human, so it'd be weird if it weren't human. So as a human, it should have human rights. Since they apply to, you know, humans n' stuff.

>> No.970457

>>970414
Sadly, using a cloned human for experiments is not the same as using a natural one. Cloned animals almost always have developmental problems due to being grown from adult, fully active cells. Developing animals need certain genes to be turned off at first, and they develop chemical-processing issues. This usually kills the animal a few years after birth, and makes the legitimacy of cloned control-groups dubious.

hey, stop being a faggot.
OF COURSE it would be easier to experiment on a clone, you have him under your control since he's born and he in a way has no family who cares for him.
BUT IT IS STILL FUCKING UNETHICAL no matter which point of view you might want to use.
Why not use homeless people? they suck, and they might risk their lives for some money.
WELL, STILL FUCKING UNETHICAL OK???
