It's not something I generally think about because we do have enough bright minds concentrated where they need to be. Still, about ten years ago I saw these ads on TV for a battery-powered copper bracelet that promised to do something regarding your "balance." The proof was a child magician's trick of gently pressing on the subject while they resisted. I thought, no way can this be real. Surely there's some kind of standard or ethical guideline against something this blatant.
