Is it child abuse if the child didn't want to be born?

interesting question. But my guess would be no. When there is trauma there is usually some negative psychological effects (I would think).

Conciousness is based on brain structure, an infant is so underdeveloped they are not truly aware of whats happening.

It's not. As long as it's physiological. The woman's pelvis widens enough for the baby to pass through and there's no danger of asphyxiation if the umbilical cord is intact. And normally when the baby's head passes the rest comes out pretty quick.

There's a school of thought that says it's not just traumatic, it's the most traumatic event of everyone's lives. You're going from a numb opiate high type of state of being where you're just in some magic safe environment and all your needs are automatically taken care of and you don't have any sense of struggle to suddenly being cut off from paradise and dumped out into a cold hostile world with bright lights and loud noises and exposed to pain, hunger, discomfort, illness, nausea, etc.

sometimes, it can happen to the mother as well as the child
