You only need 60% to get a 2:1 (uk)

Therefore only learn 65 -70% of the course for exams, but learn it well. People try to spread themselves to thin and learn everything.

In my first year I totally sacked off Probability and Stats (no lectures/tutorials/revision etc) but still got a solid 2:1

This.

Exams are predictable, look at past papers if provided. I guessed all of my questions for law, hence had to revise two of 10 topics. Exams just over and i feel great!

pay atention in class, try to understand what the teacher want you to know , and revise that shit on your own. most of the time you can predict what hes gonna ask you.

well that if you want to have a good grade, if you also want to actualy learn something, get involved. sit in the first row, ask questions, read other material that the one you had from the teacher. even reading a bunch of related wikipedia article can make you quite insightful compared to your classmate. not only revise before every lesson but try to go ahead.

University exams are easy compared to A-Level, as they are written by your lecturers...

Look at past papers, a lot. About 1/2 of the time the exams are full of questions already in the past papers.

Sleep. Fully half of all learning is done during sleep. Your mind goes over what you learned and works out details.

easier than A level ? what university do you go to / what do you study? that certainly isn't the case at my uni.

jesus man i never revised for any of my A levels for more than 2 days and got 3 A's , averaging over 90%

I'll be lucky to average over 60% after 2 months of 10 hours a day revision in my finals this term.

Study the night before an exam, so that you won’t be studying for it while you’re supposed to be paying attention in my English class! (I teach English at a high school in Gaziantep, Turkey.)

Cramming is actually beneficial when compared to regular studying. Just do it two nights before the exam rather than the night before the exam. As a previous poster said, you need that sleep to organize your information.

I only read the abstract, but doesn't that say that crammers are better at cramming than non-crammers, rather than cramming is better than non-cramming?

chanlearning:
learn for 45 min
read /sci/ for 15 min
repeat.

compare to normal procrastrinator: goes to 4chan, promises to learn in the afternoon. then decides to learn in the evening etc.
4chanlearner knows that he is addicted, but in 6 hours
he will have learned for 4,5 hours, which is 100% more than a normal procrastrinator can usually achieve.
