He wasn’t even that revolutionary. Wrong about almost all his theories. Just famous because of his disease. Nothing against the guy, but why do so many scientists who have accomplished so much more get no recognition?

He's famous because he wrote books and appeared in shows as a pop scientist. He also held the chairs at numerous extremely 'prestigious' academic institutions which usually means you will get recognition somewhere.

Lot's of other 'scientists' get recognition but many of them don't write popsci best sellers so you won't hear about them in our media which solely exists to sell narratives and click bait. Your beef is with the media, not Steve-o
