I'd like to do some physics reading now that graduation is near and I don't want to lose all my hard work studying physics.

Was thinking some Quantum Field Theory, but open to other suggestions.

Any good books that I could read kind of casually? What are the definitive quantum field theory books?

On QFT you really want to start with some heavy maths. The standard book afaik is Dyson, though a little refreshing with von Neumanns book beforehand might be beneficial.

This was the one I saw on amazon, was wondering if there are better texts.

>knowledge

You mean 'opinion'? Everything is relative, you know. Just like Einstein told us that spacetime is relative and non-constant, and just like quantum mechanics told us that physics is indetermined.

Claiming to possess "knowledge" is a form of VIOLENCE. You are trying to ENFORCE your OPINIONS on people using a systematic mental violence called "scientific method".

Ethically the only real knowledge should be that which is voted for.

Yes, but still. What's the point? The entirety of Earth could and probably will go extinct because of a fuck-up, and the universe wouldn't even notice. We could also colonize the entire galaxy, hell, local super-cluster, and the universe wouldn't even flinch. Is there any point in doing anything?

David Tong's QFT lecture notes are fairly easy to read. Also Peskin & Schroeder is probably the definitive book. Weinberg has a different approach than other books (i.e. symmetry-based) and is good at seeing things from a different angle. Zee is also a casual read.

Then you should not have come to the physics department, devochka.
