Honestly, it depends. The fact Is, physics and engineering (anything but agricultural) are high demand jobs but you'll probably have to move to some place that ISN'T a major city centre if youre normie(you Are, trust me). The simple truth Is, spoilt city dwelling children never learn this and think STEM is a meme and get depressed postgrad when they realise they cant live in LA and have to move to Mississippi or Colorado.

I know more teachers who got jobs than chemists. But they all work at shitholes. In Canada, teachers make ~60k/yr starting thanks to unions. Most bio students I know struggle to get jobs though, especially microbio. All general sci. students I know work at McDonald's-tier jobs. I know a lot of unemployed CSC grads.

How on earth this map is constructed, I have no clue. But I'm sure the creator doesnt either.

Computational Linguistics is probably one of the best Humanities majors out there.

This degree can let you study many subjects that everyone loves such as History, Philosophy & Anthropology.
But you will still be very employable as Programmer in Tech Companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft or Adobe.

A Computational linguist can research Artificial Intelligence, or work in the next Generation Computer Translator.

I like to learn the structure of languages, how they evolve historically,

languages with complex grammar as Latin or Russian,
languages with complex writing system as Japanese & Chinese.

What you said is mostly true, except for the spoiled part. White millennials who major in stem and have to leave their hometown (sometimes country even) have good reasons not to be too happy about it, especially those who live in heavily centralized countries where everything happens in only a few cities which are all filled to the brim with dirty arabs who don't contribute shit and somehow manage to live there on welfare. But for some reasons stem ain't a meme and they need to leave.
Jews and their race-mixing antics really ruined the western world.

As much as this is correct it is wrong.

This chart is totaly wrong i am trying to prevent myself from puking. In reality it is something like this.

Evrything is perfect in its own way since all is a part of the sistem you exist inside, BUTTTTTT you can translate evry singel thing into mathematics (LOGICK actually) so a person doing something very linear is just a "pro" in one branch of math but since they dont see a conjecture they dont equate it to a language of logick thus are very arrow minded in theyr beliefs.

Furthermore if you go and translate and segregate it all due to your missunderstanding than the problem is you but i do agree some people think they deserve more than the rest but they dont. They are equal just "different" branch of math.

MATH IS KING (logick)

Really? My friend got a job as project design something lined up out of school already, he interned there in the summer last year, they called him in September. It's a construction company, the building he worked on was in the Bronx but the headquarters is at Grand Central Station, he had to go there a couple times for reports and stuff. Granted he said they offered him 69k but still, I just kinda rounded up. He doesnt even live in the citu though, he lives like an hour and a half away. Lenleys is the company I think.

Personally I'm just aiming for above 60k and in the city would be good enough for me, I don't have a car so my options for travel are low and trust me you need a car anywhere outside of the city, also my house is here and everything. And it's home so there wouldn't really be any culture shock or getting used to anything to go through.

But if he could get that out of school I dont think above 70k should be as l impossible as you guess are making it seem.

All this factionalism is 4chan contrarianism, anyone who actually cares about science and knowledge can see the value in all scientific disciplines and understand the need for both theory and practicality in the world. But you stupid high school/undergrad memesters want to have le epic flame wars between math and biology and engineering.

Doesn't it ever get old? I would get incredibly bored of reposing the same memes and quips about how physics is better than engineering or whatever

Starting over from one year isn't a big deal at all, there isn't a set clock saying you need to graduate in 4 years, not that you can't do it even still.
Don't be a pussy and do it m8, you'll regret doing something you don't love because you were too scared of "wasting" a year, even though you seem to have at least 20 hours to transfer.

I was in engineering my first year and during my first semester of sophomore year I decided I wanted to do two different sciences.
After taking 20 credit hours a semester and one math course a summer, I'm going to graduate with both sciences 3 years later.
You can do it too bucko.

Depending on what you want to do, industry or research and beyond that what type of workforce you want to be a part of.
Adding math is a good idea, but adding another science will help you with chemistry and if you decide to go with that other science you will seem to have a big dick to employers/grad schools since you have a chemistry/math background.

For example, if you go in biochemistry or the like you could focus on what you love about chemistry instead of biology, and people will want you since you have more chemistry/math than biobros.
Same with geology but even more-so, you could do almost straight-chemistry but just geo-themed (organic chemistry of petroleum and soils, chemistry of waters, chemistry of water/soil from microbes, quantum physics of mineral surfaces, surface reactions, petroleum development mechanisms).
You would be doing chemistry but with a couple bonuses, you have a skillset that is far less competitive since not many others would have the chemistry background you do AND you get to go on field trips as an adult.
Just giving ideas m8, people don't realize how good it is going in soft science with a hard science background is.
