I'm having to take remedial math, once I start going to college, since it's been 10 years since I graduated high school and I've forgotten most of what I learned and scored 28/100 on the math portion of the placement test.

Once I get that out of the way, I'll be able to work towards getting my associates degree in computer information systems and then transfer to earn my bachelors.

What I'm wanting to know is, which CIS job requires the least interaction with people, one where you'll work by yourself or with a team, but you don't have to interact with people from the outside?

Same here. I had to take pre-algebra because it was also 10 years since I took math in high school.
I actually almost failed it because I was so lost. I literally learned math from the very bottom all over again.

The ironic thing is I have to retake it AGAIN, this time to get a good grade in it to fix my GPA that was ruined by doing bad in that 5 credit class.

Your assumptions fall short, anon; I don't ridicule anybody.

So far, ever since I decided to go to college, last month, I've thought about becoming a computer systems analyst. I've always been interested in computers, and how they work, and figured that would be a good job for me.

Why the fuck didn't you review BEFORE the placement test?

I did, I just forgot several things, such as multiplying/dividing two negatives will make a positive.

you're not supposed to study for placement tests, that's how you end up in a class you're not prepared for

Yeah and a thread died because you had to post your shit here without thinking or lurking.

Enjoy learning how to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and do fractions/decimals in college, faggot.

I didn't say study, I said review. You don't need remedial classes to teach yourself something you already learned. Blaze through a precalculus book and do the exercises.

OP is now going to spend a semester (40~56 hours) learning 30 minutes of forgotten stuff when he could have spent 6 hours working through a textbook. Enjoy wasting your life.
