Some argue that having 0.1% of the populace owning everything is the best course.
Their opponents favor more equality.

But you're right in that legislators don't listen to anyone except big donors. And they can get away with it because of gerrymandering.
Mathematicians _can_ redraw districts to make everything as fair as possible (everyone's vote counts equally) but do you think that'll ever happen without a gun to the politician's heads?
