I tried a tin foil hat to prevent mind control once, I don't think it worked at all, but thought it would due to the mind control being electro-magnetism based.

If you really are being tortured by you know who, they're not evil, although I disagree with their methods constantly, it will be over eventually and you'll hopefully have far more than you lost. I appear to be around the very end now waiting.
