They are not stupid. They are ignorant. They have not gained the knowledge to be stupid. Ignorance is easily cured with knowledge, but stupidity is having the knowledge and not using it.

You know those metal spigots that they have in the sides of high school science classrooms where the gas for the Bunsen burners comes out? Someone thought it would be funny to put their mouth up to one of those and take a big inhalation of that gas. It did not go well for them. Ive never seen so much vomit.

Obligatory law exam in CS exam. You have to take some extra classes which are not STEM; most are pretty easy.

>have chink in class
>lecturer is some lawyer with some titles
>pretty easy to listen to, some nice interesting cases and regulations
>this chink is living here for 3 years already
>barely speaks our language, don't even attempt and just hangs out with other chinks
>exam is not in english so he basically have to be fluent in our language
>easiest class in degree; exam was literally MULTIPLE CHOICE
>chink came with 3 dictionaries in, and some other stuff
>even the prof said he never had someone taking longer than 10min for this exam
>gonk takes full 90min, barely finished

Showed me that the system and people which get degrees is VERY flawed when you can even pass classes with huge language barriers. makesuthink

Imagine there are Universities in the world which don't need a high SAT/equivalent or formal interviews. In some countries the label of your University is not that important. Plus, a lot of of grades from China are heavily weird converted to our system. STEM degrees f.e. are pretty easy to get into, even in the "more popular Universities" since the Universities weed out anyway or not many going for STEM.

The teacher was talking to us about the importance of algorithms and how helpful computers can be (math major so no idea why) when he suddenly asks the whole class "is 5337 a prime number?" and this guy, with a confident smirk replies "yes, since it ends with 7 and 7 is not an even number" we had already took a basic number theory class and this guy trying to become a mathematician didn't knew the meaning of prime number, I couldn't believe it at the time, the teacher just turned to the other side of the class and kept talking.
