It's not really intelligent or /sci/ approved or that great of a game but Stellaris actually got me really interested in space so I started studying Cosmology and Astrophysics

Space engine is comfy, you can literally jump between galaxys, walk on a star or observe a black hole. Pic related from the surface of a random planet in the game.

Just pick one of the non-futuristic spacecraft (the shuttle, some real mission...) and learn how to use one of the available MFD navigation programs (transx, IMFD...).

Many real-mission addons include automatic pilots built-in that will perform all the manoeuvres. So you can just sit and watch the spesscraft and the pretty numbers on computers.
