I have a 14 hour car ride ahead of me this week and am looking for ideas for good science related audio listening. I already listened to Feynman's lectures last year so looking for something else. Preferably physics related but I am open.

How does /sci/ learn while driving?

Not really an option because I will be in the middle of nowhere a lot of the time and don't have 14 hours worth of music on my phone to get me there.

I don't view psychology as science so I would like something a bit more hard sci.

Don't attempt this, seriously. I once thought that thinking about math was a good idea while on the road (and while being the driver), and let's just say that it wasn't and I nearly crashed at 190 kph.

Any podcast from Chris Martenson at peak prosperity. He talks to alternative voices in all areas of academia to try and explain the downfall of Western culture. In the latest podcast he talks to a population ecologist about the future of man. Really mind-blowing shit.

I will be driving, smoking weed and listening to lectures for 14 hours on the freeway. I am sure I can handle it I have done this probably ten times in my life.

Thanks I will check this out.

Might just listen to the Feynman lectures again I am struggling to find something else.

Just remember you are not only endagering yourself. 14h alone is far too fucking long without at least three 1h breaks.

In our time with Melvyn Bragg. Host talks with various guests on topics between history. philosophy and science.

He's got a lot of great material. Last one i listened to was about Madame Curie, excellent episode.

99% invisible is a little more dynamic in it's narrative and covers great science topics here and there on top of a slew of other stuff in an albeit more pop like manner.

Also like the other anons said. Take as many breaks as you can. If you can, I'd spend the night somewhere cheap and make it easier on yourself on top of it.

Ok ya should have made it clear I am just going 7 hours one way and then 7 hours back home a few days later.

Good options though. I will def check these out.

Anyone listened to the Brief History of Time audiobook?
