Holographic Principle thread.

Alright so first Hawking came up with the Information Paradox. In quantum mechanics, there is a known law that states that bits of information can never be lost but back then, Hawkins discovered that whatever enters a a black hole is lost. So this started a epistemological rivalry between physicists studying relativity and quantum mechanics. Then came Jacob beckenstein showing how the area of a black hole increases respectively corresponding to the volume that goes in. This was revolutionary as this greatly improved our understanding of physics. In the 90's a physicist called Juan Macaledona with certain equations showed how the observable universe could follow the laws that govern black holes. Since then, a great physicist, Leonard Susskind has been reforming this thing called the holographic principle that mathematically explains how things can be on the surface of the universe and inside it at the same time, thereby showing how the entire universe is a hologram. Overall the holographic principle mathematically explains how you are present at the surface of the universe and inside it at the same time.

the universe is a moving picture of eternity and the transient forms of matter are imperfect projections of higher, platonic forms that are imperceptible but intelligible, eternal and unchanging.

the body and soul are intertwined, the soul is immortal the body is mortal and will pass. cultivate your soul by developing wisdom, virtue and courage; study the timeless forms, study mathematics and philosophy primarily; physics is of some value because it talks about astronomy. Conquer your passions otherwise they will lower you and disharmonize your soul which will cause trouble later on.

That's a bit wrong -- Susskind and t' Hooft had been proposing holographic type ideas from the early 90s, but Maldacena's AdS/CFT paper wasn't until '97, which gave a specific example of gravity in the bulk being entirely equivalent to a field theory on its boundary. Also, you misspelled Juan's name.

Wait, does the holographic principle explain the information paradox?
