Because of the way my school works I cannot switch from a Physics major to a Math and Physics double major until the next school year. As a first year student, I am taking 'physics math,' but that is about the same degree of rigor as 'engineering math' (ie not very much).

What are the important topics to study over the course of the year in my free time so that I am up to speed for second year algebra, calculus/intro analysis and ODE? If it's relevant to your answer, I am taking an introductory proofs class next semester 'for fun'.
