I don't know shit about advanced math, but I suppose that sometime in the future there will be a way to write a concise proof of this theorem using more advanced/abstract tools. I think I read somewhere that pretty much anything can be proved using only the Peano axioms, but would require obscenely long developements when a single paragraph of modern analysis or abstract algebra can do it just as well.
