Pic related will be coming in tommorow, as it's my first QM text what should i expect?

Also after i get through this text will i safely be able to move onto applied QM textbooks?

I only know up to odes and linear algebra, will that be enough math to understand? If not i can always consultbthe appendix, right?

It won't make sense to you if you don't already know the standard approach to quantum mechanics.

So then what textbook is the best introduction to quantum mechanics? Because i'm only using the text by Feynman for an intro to the subject. I've already taken mechanics/E&M, my goal is eventually to get to the applications of QM, through pic related texts so i can apply it to a materials science summer research a year or two years from now.

I really, really dislike this list.

Cohen-Tannoudji and Townsend are on the list. Baym is better as a supplement.

Thank you, I will order "A Modern Approach to Quantum Mechanics" since from reading the reviews on Griffths version says he doesnt include the derivation's, thanks m8.

Also, after going throughs Town's text will i be able to go through Feynmans text?
