>be passionate for science
>study it as much as I can
>can't become a scientist cause I suck at math
>can't even get past the relative basics
>no matter how much I try
Is there any pain worse than this?

>> No.9195385

quitting will feel much worse. nothing makes sense in life until your late 20s anyway. you're just gonna have to fake it until then.

Yes, the pain of realizing that advanced maths aren't essential to every STEM field and that you're just a retard from the outset.

huh?

what difference is it going to make if it won't make sense to you until it makes sense to you several years from now at which point my explanation will not be what you will use to make sense of life?

I should probably be more specific.
My main area of interest is physics.
You see my problem?

it's true. your brain isn't fully developed until after 26 years old. i am much more "aware of shit" than i was just a few years ago and i've been a hermit fuck, but it just happened. i noticed this and simply attributed it to a fully developed brain.

I always thought it was early 20s that's why I asked.
> i am much more "aware of shit"
Do you mean being more adept at grasping complex problems kind of "aware" or just being more mature and knowing what you want from life?

I learned most the math I know past the age of 21, before that I was below average in high-school. You won't be the greatest genius ever, but there's no reason why you can't contribute to science if you keep at it.

I am much more capable of complex problem than when I was 18-25, which was more like the trial version of adulthood.

I can't say I proofread very well though

yes it's like a minimum of 25.

it's hard to explain because I haven't thought about it much, but it's like I can understand why things work the way they do. I wouldn't say I'm better at grasping complex problems, but more like seeing the problem and knowing how to empathize with getting the answer. Less beating around the bush I guess I could say. Who knows man I'm not a neuroscientist or a psychologist. It's like my bullshit detector is better. You know what I mean?

You haveto ask yourself a question.

Do you enjoy science or do you enjoy idea of doing science?

>is there any pain worse than this
How about this OP
>be good at math
>fairly easily understand new concepts
>become extremely jaded by society
>no passion or motivation to do anything
>don't bother studying and get low grades
Feels terrible, I'd give up intelligence for passion. People who care seem to do well in life, people like me not so much. I just don't give a fuck anymore, I'm probably going to end up jobless and homeless. Maybe I'd be happier that way

>> No.9195695

Nothing is worse than having an iq below 90 op. I hate uneducated jobs aswell, i fucking hate it. I am deep into uni now so if anything my goal is to convince any employer that I can teach hs/elementary math. Playing that shitty game with toddlers is something I can deal with. Rather that than cleaning fish every day.

/89 iq

You can do organic chemistry even if your ability to do math on the fly is weak. The interpretation of even quantitative data tends to be fairly qualitative (e.g. IR and NMR spectra are used as fingerprints for broad sets of moeities in molecules) and you should consider it twice if you, say, see a prof who does actually try to make it more quantitative. There's a handful of courses that will require a decent feel of group theory and differential equations (looking at quantum mech, spectroscopy and usually you wind up taking at least a class in inorganic chem), though.

That's how I feel. It really kills me that the only thing I seem to be really good at academics wise is Anthropology and I mean I'm REALLY good at it and legit enjoy the material.

Though I will say it gives me massive giggles when I see STEM aspies fail out of basic anthro courses because they fail miserably at learning then applying via coherent sentences rather than rote memorization or can't view shit from another persons perspective if their lives depended on it.

Also Psych cunts get out. You people suck cock at it and try to overly psychoanalyze everything and end up dead wrong every fucking time. What works for Culture A and B may not work for Culture C but you fucks conveniently forget that fact and routinely state subjective shit like it's scientific fact only to get BTFO then get right back on your horse.

Also Sociology fags get out ree. You know the meme of Math cucks saying everything is just a fucked form of math and is a joke? I know how they fucking feel with sociologist.

Any specific fields, like thermo, electro, mechanical, nuclear, optics, etc? Also might have something to do with the teacher. Calc prof at my campus is infamous for whittling down his class sizes as the semester progresses. We're talking going from three classes of 40 to one consolidated class of 30, and those who pass him multiple times for different classes are all but given a badge of honor.

So basically you're a popsci cunt who goes around sharing "i fucking love science" bullshit.

You don't "like science" and you aren't passionate about physics. You want people to look at you and think you're smart because you have literally nothing else to offer the world.

You aren't strong, you aren't sexy, you never will be. You are likely an outcast and think that because you don't fit in with chad you deserve to fit in with the nerds. You don't.
