My friend told me psychology is the only worthwhile STEM field. Is this true /sci/?

>> No.9193533

Fuck no.

Psychology isn't even a true science. Psychology is an unsophisticated branch of neuroscience that study's the social behavior and feelings of animals.

Of the STEM fields, psychology is the most subjective garbage field there is. Business majors in marketing and Advertising are better psychologists than psychology majors.

Wrong. Psychology is a science, you just have to understand which paradigms are worth studying and which are meme tiered.

Here is a hint, freud is meme tiered. Look for paradigms of psychology that emphasize ideas that can actually be verified through experiments, rather than ideas that you have to deduce exist and then perform an experiment to support.

>psychology
>STEM

i mean i guess its technically science but when I think STEM, psychology never comes to mind

do psych majors brag about being STEM majors? lel

imo psychology is like studying computers from their user interface, rather than actually understanding code or hardware. its like being an indian customer service rep for microsoft

All the real psychology was around the 1950s with Eric Berne and NIHM etc, if you have the time to perform real Psychology then good luck, Listen to the Great Courses series on Psychology

Don't listen to the atomists, Plato was right, virtue and truth can only be found in the all, not in the individual instances. You can't break down virtue to find it, you have to build it up!

Something most of the cretins on this board don't know anything about.
