What do you guys think the end goal for the universe is, if there is one. What caused the big bang to happen? Is there a reason or end goal for evolution like some sort of ultimate being that cant evolve no more. Is there a bigger picture?

I know these dont have definitive answers, they may not even have answers at all but i like to here peoples theorys and people on this board are generally critical thinkers so i thought it might be interesting to hear

not everything has to have a purpose. As humans we always try and personify things, but the simply truth is not everything is driven with ulterior motive

yeh thats what i personally think, except the cause of the big bang, i think maybe someone could of caused that to happen. Kinda fustrating how i will never find out

The goal of the whole thing is to be the whole thing.

To exist.
>What caused the big bang to happen?
Nothing.
>Is there a reason or end goal for evolution like some sort of ultimate being that cant evolve no more. Is there a bigger picture?
No.

I think things exist to contemplate non existence. It's that old "why do things exist problem". I think everything exists, it's an infinity of infinite infinities. Like the Multiverse theory but on steroids.

Maybe we are dreaming, and the only purpose we have is to wake up.

The universe does not care about the goals or anything like that. Though I do believe that as we humans shape the universe around us, we define its purpose.

Especially because humanity wins but ironically can never witness it.

we don't even know how the universe got here.

Biocentrically speaking, I like to think the universe is just the last evolutionary pressure. It goes through iterations of Big Bang and heat death until a life form arises that disrupts that cycle.
