Is a fart an oscillation of sorts? Can two farts cancel eachother out if they have the same frequency and amplitude but a phase of 180°?

Yes of course, how would farts make a sound if they weren't?

>> No.8847197

It would work only at certain spots where the amplitudes are even but at opposite phase.

If you have two fart sources, you can cancel the sound only if the sources exist at the same spot, which is physically impossible. If they are very near (a good approximation), it can be described as a push-pull action of the two anuses.
