At my university the mathematics department has two libraries, one of which is dedicated for the students. I have only eyed its contents but it has everything an undergrad fag would need and probably more. And yes, you can take the books home and do whatever with them. And no, there is no library keeper or anything so there are no charges and no papers to sign. You just take it home and hopefully you bring it back some day. I always see the library full of shit so I assume this means that most mathematics students are not bad people.

On top of that there is one professor I have right now who straight up e-mailed me a pirate .pdf of a textbook we can use for his class. No, wait. That's wrong. He did not send one book, he sent TWO pirated pdfs of two different textbooks.

So yeah, the textbook struggle is only for retarded americunts who can't into 21st century life.
