I've been reading about Fourier Analysis recently. Been coding up a Fourier Decomposition and Evaluation program in Octave to give myself a better understanding on how we use them in the modern sense. Pic related has been some of my recent casual reading.

One Jump Ahead: Computer Perfection at Checkers - Interesting book about how some guy build a world champion checkers program. It teaches about AI, checkers, and programming a bit.

Data Structures and Algorithms by Aho, Ullman, and Hopcroft - Precisely and concisely written book that covers the important fundamentals of data structures and algorithms. It doesn't get bogged down with mathematical formalism.

The Art of Problem Solving: Geometry. I didn't pay attention to high school geometry, so I'm learning it quickly with this book. It has great problems that are medium difficulty. Some math books have way too many problems for each section, and other books have mostly proof problems; this book avoids both styles.

Going through Concrete right now. It has an odd reputation for being really hard, I'm really just starting, I'm reading the chapter on series and people often say it's really hard up ahead.
But I'm liking it, instead of just giving the facts it takes you by the hand through the process of problem solving. In a way, it's kind of an intro to math. It's fun

Finished this a few hours ago. Great read highly recommend. Takes a thorough look at human history from early primates to modern man. Weaves in religion and economy. Highly recommend.
