>Be going to community college.
>Dunno what's going on. Decide to get associates of arts (AHAHAHAHA).
>Love it! Learning is FUN! YAY humanities!
>Hate math! Grr math! Hard!
One semester later.
>Fuck humanities!
>Yay math! Yay science! Stuff I can actually know for sure!
I just don't find my humanities courses to be a challenging or interesting anymore.
If any of you guys have some advice on how I can go about finding a niche I'd appreciate it.
Engineering is cool, but I can't tell if I'm just motivated purely by the money that the field presents.
Pure math is cool, but I'm afraid it's useless outside of mental masturbation with you guys.
Help.
Pic funny but not related.

I should note that I'm going to probably have large chunks of the week open during the summer. So I'll have time to do stuff you guys tell me would be beneficial.

Why not do it for the money? Don't listen to all the poor people on here saying "don't do it for the money you're not contributing anything" just do what you know is best for you.

Well, I have genuine interest in math, it's just that I'm not sure I care about electrical engineering.
I care about transhumanist stuff(another topic) but I'm afraid that market will soon be flooded based on the explosion of people seeking information on the topic.
I thought it would be good to major in a highly technical thing like electrical engineering and then attempt to branch into neurophresthesis or whatever when it becomes a thing.

This image is bullshit. [math]\sum\limits_{n=1}^{\infty}1[/math] is equal to [math]-\dfrac{1}{2}[/math], not [math]\infty[/math]. [math]-\dfrac{1}{2}[/math] is less than [math]-\dfrac{1}{12}[/math], so the top track has less people on it.

I dunno mang, it sounds like you're a bit unclear on what you really want out of life

I'd recommend doing a little soul searching regarding what sort of life you want to live, and do some research on different career paths. If you're set on either a math degree or an electrical engineering degree, enroll in a university with both majors as undecided, and take a couple of classes in each to get a first-hand feel of what they're like.

This might feel like a waste of time, but I promise that gaining a good understanding of yourself and what you want will really help you in the long run

The autists make sure it's all completely sound and perfect - within their framework - but obviously most of it is a load of garbage to anyone with a working brain.

The sweet spot is in the middle. Get too "applied" and it becomes a wishy washy social science; get too pure and you're just staring at equations all day and not contributing to anyone's life. (This was different a few centuries ago but come on, you aren't going to invent anything world changing.)

Physicists make useful machines, biologists develop cancer treatments, etc.

Stupid fucks can't even google something, no wonder you aren't interested in maths. Go get your fucking underwater basket photography degree and get the fuck out of /sci/.
