Is is theoretically possible to scan a human brain, run a simulation of it and subject it to torture?

Thats the dumbest malformed question ive seen today. Congratulations. No shit its "theoretically" possible, the question you meant to ask is "Does it matter?". Then you start delving into is consiousness real, will AI ever experience consiousness, free will, etc.

tl;dr: Go away brainlet.

Yeah, sure, probably. And running a simulation of a mind is more likely to be torturous than not, anyway.

That's not the question he meant to ask, you retarded sack of shit, he was pretty clear about what his question was.

>Is it possible to simulate a human brain.
With sufficient levels of tech you can simulate anything containing less atoms than the machine running the simulation. This isnt even something you need to research to figure out you just need to not be a brainlet and you can figure it out with logic.

>and subject it to torture
Its a fucking simulation, you can do whatever you want with it provided you are competent enough to run the simulation machine. You could subject your simulated brain to space flight at atmospheric pressure, the real question is does it matter. I can run over hoards of simulated pedestrians in grand theft auto, but it doesnt matter because they are pretty basic human simulations, incapable of thinking or feeling.

So, yes, the question he meant to ask is does it matter. Fuck outta here brainlet.
