Is this really a good way to measure IQ? The way I did it was to just come up with consistent rules alongs the columns rows and diagonals, but for most of them I could come up with more than 1 that were completely consistent and I just had to guess between them. Don't worry about it.
I took this test to get placed in gifted and it was 139 back when I was a kid
Today I scored 117, but I have excuses.
Not that I need them, pattern recognition and reasoning ability are useless without knowlege and creativity.
My excuses are I am heavily abusing substances like weed and clonzepam, and haven't taken my adderall which I am very dependent on. Also I didn't read into or understand the directions until like 7 or so questions in, thought the patterns were on rows instead of collums.
Anyways even if my IQ was as low I I just got tested I would still have a much wider knowlege base than just about anyone close to my age, I've been compulsively reading encyclopedias and acedemic literature since I've had the ability to read. There are so many people with high IQs that have an extremely shallow and un-pragmatic veiw of the world, I know because I used to be like that and see them all the time.
Ima retake it here in alittle while to prove I'm dumb.

I got 131 after repeating the test many times and guessing the right answer even though i didn't know them and did so by analysing each answer contirbuted to an overall higher iq score at the end.

My fair IQ according to the test is likely around 105 (me at my worst) to 119 (at my best) . I admit it's not looking good for my future stem career but i'm gonna try upping my iq.

I ran out of time and had to randomly answer the last 5. I got a 105, but i've the highest average at my uni (Engineering) and i'm currently in two investigation projects.

So either:

-IQ has little or nothing to do with intelligence

or

I'm guessing it's the second option, since this one only has pattern recognition, and the one i took when i was a child was way longer (around 2hs per day, for a week) and only a part of it was pattern recognition.

I am not very familiar with terminology around axes, so to clarify what I mean I'll just use an example.

You have a sheet of paper lying on a table, you're sitting on a chair and watching it from above.

Rotation around the x-axis would be grabbing the nearest or furthest away side and flipping it away and towards your body, respectively.

Rotation around the y-axis would be grabbing the left or the right side so that the left side ends up where the right side was and vice versa.

Rotation around the z-axis would be to pin the sheet to the table by placing the tip of a finger orthogonally on the middle of the sheet, then grabbing an arbitrary corner of the sheet with your other hand and rotating the sheet around your finger (the center point in an idealized version would never move).

If my definition of rotations around specific axes differ from the standardized ones, I'd like to hear it and also get a short explanation for which rotation is around which axis and why, if whoever replies has the time.

The first two columns are simple. Flip the first row over horizontally, "add" it to the corresponding pic in the second row, and remove any overlapping line segments.

As for the third column, I guess instead of removing overlapping segments entirely, you'd just "dot" them instead. The proper answer should be the upper middle.

Not really, since (for example) this one tests pattern recognition, if you practice and do different pattern recognition test, your score on this test will be better.
